19 June 2007
Multimap today announced the promotion of Steve Frost, Head of Sales for Europe, to Head of Worldwide B2B Sales. Heading up Multimap's global sales team, which is based in London, Boston and Sydney, Steve is responsible for business solutions for Multimap's 1,200 plus business customers around the world. Steve will also focus on growing new business, as the company continues to strengthen its position in the online mapping and location-based services space on a global level.
Steve Frost, Head of Worldwide B2B Sales, Multimap, said, "I am delighted to accept this promotion, particularly at such an exciting time for Multimap. Over a decade's experience in the field has taught us that we must stay close to our customers to demonstrate the superiority of our products and our service. With the recent launch of the latest version of our industry-leading API service, we're in an even stronger position than before to drive the business forward for business customers of all sizes. And, thanks to partnerships with over 20 mapping data providers across the globe, we have excellent mapping coverage to support businesses worldwide. 2006 was an immensely successful year for Multimap, the first half of 2007 is shaping up to be equally so, and we're looking forward to seeing the trend continue for the next six months to follow!"
Commenting on Steve's promotion, Jeff Keliksy, CEO of Multimap, said, "After two years of consistent and strong managerial performance in the capacity of Head of Sales for Europe, it gives me great pleasure to announce the promotion of Steve Frost to Head of Worldwide B2B Sales. Steve has successfully led many sales campaigns himself and led a highly-motivated European sales team over the last two years, hitting targets and maintaining an overall renewal rate in excess of 96%. He has led by example, championed good process, and has been proactive in coordinating efforts with teams across Multimap on numerous deals to deliver results. This new appointment should capitalize on his skills and experience in the industry, and help Multimap to build on our success to date."
Steve has over two decades' experience in international sales. Before taking up a sales position at Multimap in 2000, he was export sales manager at Eurotherm Controls, where he was responsible for sales through international distributor channels. During the past six years, Steve has been in the driving seat for numerous important deals with global blue-chip companies, particularly within the automotive sector, including Ford in Europe and North America.
