High-quality mapping services are an integral part of fleet tracking and asset management systems. Multimap's Reverse Geocoding for Asset Tracking Application is equally popular in this space. It returns the nearest street address to the geographic location of an asset, based on coordinates sent by the asset itself. The service also returns information about nearest Points of Interest (POIs), e.g., the nearest train station, petrol station, motorway junction, ATM or airport, to the asset's location. In addition, the Reverse Geocoding service allows users to receive text information on the location of assets, which can be rendered on a web browser, sent as a short message to a mobile phone, and saved to a log file, etc.
